About The North Face
The North Face®, a subsidiary of VF Corporation, was founded in 1966. Our headquarters is located in California, US, in a LEED certified energy-saving and environmentally-friendly industrial park. The North Face offers the most technically advanced products in the market to accomplished climbers, mountaineers, snowsport athletes and explorers.
The brand name "The North Face®" is derived from the North Slope, which refers to the coldest slope of a mountain; the one that is the most difficult to climb. The logo is based on the Half Dome which is a mountain peak found in the Yosemite National Park in California. Therefore the "North Face" refers to the outdoor spirit of exploration that one must have to conquer the toughest terrains. The North Face® adopted a new slogan - "Never Stop Exploring" in 1997 - this has since become the essence of our brand spirit. Our products satisfy all outdoor requirements for exploring the world and challenging the human potential to the limits. The brand is also dedicated to protecting the outdoor environment. We have maintained our goal of sustainability and minimizing all man-made impact on nature. For more information, please visit http://www.thenorthface.com
