Ywenna Carollin

Ywenna Carollin a Singapore based jazz pianist and vocalist born in Indonesia and grew up in Malaysia. She actively performs atvarious jazz venues in Malaysia and Indonesia. She is a regular performer at various jazz festivals, private event launches, awards, weddings, hotels and etc. She displays a gutsy versatility in several genres of music and has shared stage with some of the well-known artists.

In October 2009, Ywenna released the debut album “The Naked Soul” with her band Tokyo Blue - her own jazz instrumental band where she proved herself as composer/arranger/pianist. Ywenna has been touring with the group ever since in Southeast Asia, China, Korea, Nepal, Australia and Africa.

Her second jazz instrumental album “Monochrome Rainbow’ was released in November 2012 at Singapore Esplanade.

Aya Sekine

Aya Sekine is a Japanese Jazz pianist/improvisor/composer who has been actively performing worldwide over the past 2 decades. As a performer, she is best known for her soulful and dynamic style of Jazz and improvisations, but also for her versatility and cross-genre collaborations with artists in the region. Also known as an integral part of Singapore’s music scene she has been the resident programmer of Blu Jaz Cafe 2006 - 2016, where she created an infrastructure to continually raise the bar for quality live entertainment.

Her recent work includes an audio-visual-movement performance with multi-disciplinary artist AnGie Seah at ArtScience Museum, an improvisation project Ayaschool at The Esplanade’s Jazz In July program and a commissioned composition project Pin品 for The Pipa Quartet at SOTA Concert Hall. She performs as a member of local Soul/Jazz group L.A.B (Listen And Believe), and a Soundpainting collective Erik Satay & The Kampong Arkestra led by Tim O’Dwyer.
